ADD Spirituality
ADD Apostolic Spirituality is the spirituality of evangelizers who are :
· Willing to be sent
· Willing to proclaim Jesus
· Willing to witness Jesus
ADD Apostolic Spirituality is characterized by the members’ Simplicity, Joy, Sacrifice, Trust, and Preferential option for the poor
The ADD is following the Mystery of Christ:
· Christ who was sent by the Father to proclaim the reign of God to towns and villages.
Who likewise sent his apostles and disciples to proclaim the good news.
The ADD are sent by the church (2 x 2) for evangelization and witness Christ in the world to renew humanity from within.
SPIRIT OF THE HANDMAIDS
ADD renders a Marian quality of Evangelizing Service to the Church
As evangelizers, we give Service of proclaiming the Good News to humanity and to the whole of creation.
The evangelization service of the Handmaids spring from their intimate union with Jesus, whom they “chose to follow closely.” (Per Car #8)
ADD Ignatian Spirituality is characterized by:
Seeking for the glory of God
Obedience
Humility
Seeking the will of God in discernment
Meeting God in 30 days retreat
ADD Creation Spirituality is characterized by:
Finding and praise God in the beauty of creation.
Creation is a tremendous source of wisdom
find deeper meaning in our lives with all its relation to the whole of creation.
Compassionate attitude towards all creation
Sense of reverence to the whole creation
ADD Marian Spirituality:
ADD Sisters emulate the characteristics of Our Lady of Annunciation
Faithful and obedient handmaid
Trustfull, humble, simple ………….
MARY is a “domus dei” – House of God
She became the “house of the Son of God” for 9 months after the Annunciation and the temple of the Holy Spirit.
